ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Luke Sylvester - I am a self-taught photographer born and raised in Southern California. After leaving home to pursue a degree at Colorado State University, I discovered my passion for storytelling while exploring the picturesque landscapes of the foothills. My love for the state's stunning beauty led me to experience these vistas through my camera lens and encouraged my passion for photography to grow. 
After spending several years admiring the state, I made the decision to return to my home community of Ventura, California, with my loyal dog and creative director, Zinfandel. Leaving the Rockies behind, Zinny and I are now embracing our roots and embarking on a new adventure together, capturing the essence of California's breathtaking scenery.
My photography is rooted in storytelling, authenticity, and a love for human connection and the natural world. Through my photographs, I hope to inspire viewers to take a step back from their busy lives and appreciate the wonder of the world around them, encouraging them to find beauty in unexpected places.
